INSURANCE

If you’re planning to use private health insurance, we’re happy to help guide you through the process.

We currently work directly with a small number of insurers, including WPA and General & Medical. If you’re with a different provider, you can often still claim back the cost of your treatment—this just means you would pay us directly and then submit your receipts to your insurer.

Please note that we no longer accept Bupa, Vitality or AXA policies.

Before booking or attending your appointment, it’s important to contact your insurer to check what you’re covered for. They’ll let you know if you need a GP referral or pre-authorisation, and whether you have an excess to pay (which would be payable directly to us).

A common point of confusion is that physiotherapy cover isn’t always “open” to any clinic. Your insurer will usually authorise a set number of sessions with a specific provider. This means we need confirmation of how many sessions have been approved, and that those sessions are authorised for treatment at our clinic.

If your insurer has approved treatment with us, we may be able to invoice them directly. To make things as smooth as possible, please have the following details ready:

  • Your insurer’s name
  • Your policy or membership number
  • Your pre-authorisation number (if required)
  • The number of sessions authorised
Fees can vary depending on your insurer and level of cover, and we’re always happy to talk this through if you’re unsure.

THIRD PARTY

We have a number of contracts with local companies and other organisations such as personal injury solicitors and sports clubs to provide physiotherapy for their staff/clients. Ask your club or employer if they have such an arrangement with us, or if they are interested in setting one up.

We offer flexible fee or funding arrangements for those who wish to make one payment at the end of treatment rather than at each appointment. Please ask for details of this scheme if you are interested.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Please provide us with at least 24 hours notice of cancellation, or you will be liable for a £60 cancellation fee. If you are using private medical insurance then the missed or cancelled session will be charged at the full rate.
